How to update Hire items and pages
Step 1:
Add a new hire product to a new page
Hire items are manually added in a Gallery setup on the home page, and LINK off to their own page. We DO NOT use the shop products, don't add them there.
Make a copy of the HIRE PAGE template: Manage Pages > copy icon on the page name.
Add info onto the new page (photo, info, prices). Save etc.
Go back to "Manage Pages".
Scroll down and change the name of the page to the shorter product name eg: "hire 45L dehumidifier" (keep 'hire' on the page name to help for searches).Click the on/off switch next to the page name to green to go live.
Step 2:
Adding the new item to the HIRE page
Once you have set up the product page (eg; 45L dehumidifier), it needs to be linked from the Tony's Hire landing page.
Scroll down to the gallery of pictures. Click the pencil icon to edit.
Add a new photo of the product.
Note: some pics online aren't the right dimensions - I have made a custom image size so that you can see the whole product and then it zooms in better. If you need it fixed just email me, it takes a couple mins to update.Add the Text details: Secondary text: name of product. Alt Text: Copy and paste the name (Google reads this because it can't see pics).
Add the LINK: On the photo at the top, it has 'edit link' > click this, choose the 'page' list and find the newly added item. (Don't use the shop links.)
Save and add another. It will automatically put it at the bottom of the 'gallery' you can shuffle it if you need to by dragging it up with the 4-pointer arrow icon. Save the 'Grid Gallery', and you're all done!
